Royal Decree 41/86 Making Appointments and Transfers in the Diplomatic Corps

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Ambassador Abdullah bin Said bin Rashid Al-Balushi–Our ambassador to the Republic of India–is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Turkey.

Article 2

Ambassador Ahmed bin Yousuf bin Obaid Al-Harthi–Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco–is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of India.

Article 3

Advisor Abdulhussain bin Ali bin Abdullatif is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Article 4

Advisor Ahmed bin Ibrahim bin Qasim is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Somali Democratic Republic.

Article 5

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
