Royal Decree 86/88 Concerning the Ratification of the Memorandum of Understanding with UNESCO on the Contribution of the Sultanate of Oman to the Project for the Study of the Silk Road

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), signed in the city of Paris on 21 June 1988, concerning the voyage of the Omani ship (Falk Al-Salamah) as part of the Project for the Study of the Silk Road,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Memorandum of Understanding Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is hereby approved and ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
