Royal Decree 90/91 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Protocol for the Protection of the Marine Environment against Pollution from Land Based Sources

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 8/79 Ratifying the Kuwait Regional Convention for Co-operation on the Protection of the Marine Environment Against Pollution,

and the Protocol for the Protection of the Marine Environment Against Pollution from Land Based Sources,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned Protocol for the Protection of the Marine Environment Against Pollution from Land Based Sources is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instruments of accession in accordance with the mentioned protocol.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
