Royal Decree 74/92 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate to the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts of Violence at Airports Serving International Civil Aviation

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 41/76 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against the Safety of Civil Aviation signed in Montreal on 23 September 1971,

and the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts of Violence at Airports Serving International Civil Aviation, supplementing the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against the Safety of Civil Aviation, signed in Montreal on 24 February 1988,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts of Violence at Airports Serving International Civil Aviation, signed in Montreal on 24 February 1988, is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instruments of accession with the depositary entities in accordance with the provisions of the protocol.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
