Royal Decree 54/94 Transferring and Appointing in the Diplomatic Corps

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Farsi, the Permanent Representative of the Sultanate to the United Nations in Geneva, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the People’s Republic of China.

Article II

Ambassador Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Rasbi, Our ambassador to the Republic of Italy, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the United States of America.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
