Royal Decree 91/94 Making Appointments and Transfers in the Diplomatic Corps

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Zahir Al-Hinai, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Russian Federation.

Article II

His Highness Sayyid Jaifar bin Salim bin Ali Al-Said, Our ambassador to the State of Bahrain, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Article III

Ambassador Mohammed bin Taher bin Alawi Aideed is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of India.

Article IV

Advisor Rashad bin Obaid bin Rashid Al-Gharibi is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the State of Bahrain.

Article V

Advisor Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Masoud Al-Riyami is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to Brunei Darussalam.

Article VI

Ambassador Salim bin Abdullah bin Barham Baomar, Our ambassador to Kuwait, is hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

Article VII

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
