Royal Decree 122/94 Ratifying the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 50/93 Approving the Signing of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on Their Destruction,

and the texts of the mentioned convention signed at the United Nations headquarters on 2 February 1993,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on Their Destruction is hereby ratified.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instruments of ratification in accordance with the provisions of this convention.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
