Royal Decree 7/96 regarding the Mandates of the Development Council and Its General Secretariat

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 29/81 Recomposing the Development Council and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 19/94 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Development and the Secretariat General of the Development Council,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mandates of the Development Council are hereby transferred to the Council of Ministers.

Article II

The phrase “Council of Ministers” is hereby replaced with the phrase “Development Council” wherever it occurs in annex 1 attached to the mentioned Royal Decree 19/94.

Article III

The Secretariat General of the Development Council is hereby abolished, and its records, allocations, and officers are hereby transferred to the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers.

Article IV

The mentioned Royal Decree 29/81 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this decree or in conflict with its provisions.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
