Royal Decree 54/97 Regarding Imposing Fees

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Financial Law issued by Royal Decree 56/82 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

It is permitted, after the approval of the Council of Ministers, for the competent minister to impose a fee for the services performed by the ministry, without prejudice to any special text in this regard.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
