Royal Decree 36/98 on the Accession of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman to the 1958 United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the 1958 United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned 1958 United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall undertake the procedures for acceding to the agreement in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
