Royal Decree 87/98 Appointing Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Advisor Ali bin Ahmed bin Harib Al-Issai is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Tunisia.

Article II

Counsellor Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of India.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
