Royal Decree 47/99 Appointing Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

His Highness Sayyid Jaifar bin Salim bin Ali Al-Said, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the French Republic.

Article II

Advisor Khadija bint Hassan bin Salman Al-Lawati is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
