Royal Decree 50/99 Promoting in the Diplomatic Corps

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The following Minister Plenipotentiaries are hereby promoted to the grade of ambassador:

– Ali bin Salim bin Bader Al-Hinai

– Bashir bin Sulayem bin Faraj Al-Faraj

– Salim bin Mohammed bin Salim Al-Wahaibi

– Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Farsi

– Mohammed bin Salim bin Mohammed Al-Hajri

– Sheikh Hamad bin Hilal bin Ali Al-Maamari

– Awadh bin Mahfoodh bin Ali Bakthir

Article II

The following advisors are hereby promoted to the grade of Minister Plenipotentiary:

– Dawood bin Hamdan bin Abdullah Al-Hamdan

– Mahmoud bin Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rahma

– Salim bin Abdullah bin Barham Baomar

– Dr Mohammed bin Salim bin Said Al-Shanfari

– Omar bin Suleiman bin Muhyiddin Al-Hashimi

– Fouad bin Mubarak bin Ali Al-Hinai

– Abdulhafeeth bin Musallam bin Ahmed Al-Qalam

– Khadija bint Hassan bin Salman Al-Lawati

– Saeed bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al-Busaidi

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
