Royal Decree 72/99 Amending the Omani Nationality Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 3/83 on the Omani Nationality Law and its amendments,

and the Financial Law issued by Royal Decree 47/98,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A new article numbered 16bis is hereby added to the mentioned Omani Nationality Law with the following text:

A decision by the Minister of Interior, after the approval of the Minister Supervising the Ministry of Finance, must determine the fees due on applications and certificates submitted or issued within the scope of the application of the provisions of this law, provided that they do not exceed one hundred Rial Omani for each application or certificate.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
