Royal Decree 81/99 on the Accession of the Sultanate to the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, adopted by the Conference of Plenipotentiaries on 10 September 1998,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate to the mentioned convention is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instruments of accession to the convention in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
