Royal Decree 3/2001 Appointing Non-Resident Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Said bin Ali bin Salim Al-Kalbani, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Kenya and the Republic of Uganda.

Article II

Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Zahir Al-Hinai, Our ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Federal Islamic Republic of the Comoros.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
