Royal Decree 22/2002 Ratifying the Convention of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference on Combating International Terrorism

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Convention of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference on Combating International Terrorism, which was approved by the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers in its twenty-sixth session (Peace and Partnership for Development Session) held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, from 15 to 18 Rabi Al-Awwal 1420, corresponding to 28 June to 1 July 1999, and signed by the Sultanate on 3 December 2001,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned convention is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
