Royal Decree 84/2002 Transferring and Appointing Two Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Masoud Al-Riyami, Our ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, is hereby transferred and appointed a permanent representative of Ours to the United Nations Office in Geneva.

Article II

Ambassador Mohammed bin Omar bin Ahmed Aideed, Our permanent representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to Brunei Darussalam.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
