Royal Decree 75/2003 Transferring and Appointing Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Nasser bin Khalfan bin Said Al-Kharusi, Our ambassador to the State of Qatar, and Ambassador Mahmoud bin Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rahma, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, are hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

Article II

Ambassador Rashid bin Mubarak bin Rashid Al-Ghailani, Our ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the State of Qatar.

Article III

Ambassador Salim bin Fankhar bin Ali Al-Shanfari is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Sudan.

Article IV

Ambassador Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Farsi is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Article V

Ambassador Sheikh Ghazi bin Said bin Abdullah Al-Bahar Al-Rawas, Our ambassador to Malaysia, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of the Philippines.

Article VI

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
