Royal Decree 33/2008 Appointing Non-Resident Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Mohammed bin Said bin Mohammed Al-Lawati, Our ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Article II

Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Saleh bin Hilal Al-Saadi, Our ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Article III

Ambassador Dr Bader bin Mohammed bin Zahir Al-Hinai, Our ambassador to the Republic of Austria, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Czech Republic.

Article IV

Ambassador Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Farsi, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
