Royal Decree 40/2009 Appointing Non-Resident Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al-Mahrizi, Our ambassador to the French Republic, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Portuguese Republic.

Article II

Ambassador Khalid bin Hashel bin Mohammed Al-Musalhi, Our ambassador to Japan, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to New Zealand.

Article III

Ambassador Khalid bin Sulaiman bin Abdulrahman Baomar, Our ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Mauritius.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
