Royal Decree 10/2010 Appointing the Members of the Human Rights Commission

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 124/2008 Establishing the Human Rights Commission and Determining Its Competences,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The following are hereby appointed, in their capacity as representatives of the entities stipulated in article 1 of the annex attached to the aforementioned Royal Decree 124/2008, Members of the Human Rights Commission, as follows:

1. Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Masoud Al-Riyami—Chairman

2. Ali bin Salim bin Masoud Al-Maamari—Deputy Chairman

3. Dr Rasheed bin Al-Safi bin Khamis Al-Harbi

4. Hussein bin Jawad bin Mohammed Abdulrasool

5. Saud bin Ali bin Aziz Al-Jabri

6. Dr Rashid bin Hamad bin Humaid Al-Balushi

7. Jihan bint Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Lamkiya

8. Jihad bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Tai

9. Dina bint Hamza bin Abdullah Al-Asfour

10. Sheikh Muhanna bin Saleh bin Saud Al-Maawali

11. Zakia bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Farsiya

12. Sheikh Sultan bin Matar bin Salim Al-Azizi

13. Saleh bin Ayel bin Khamis Al-Amri

14. Fahd bin Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Jabri

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
