Royal Decree 31/2010 Amending Some provisions of Royal Decree 84/2007 Conducting the General Census of Population, Housing, and Establishments for 2010

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Statistical Law promulgated by Royal Decree 29/2001,

and Royal Decree 84/2007 Conducting the General Census of Population, Housing, and Establishments for 2010,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of the aforementioned article 1 of the Provisions of the General Census of Population, Housing, and Establishments for 2010 attached to Royal Decree 84/2007 is hereby replaced with the following text:

A comprehensive census of population, housing, and establishments must be conducted, with its procedures finalised and the start of the actual count in December 2010.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
