Ministry of Commerce and Industry: Ministerial Decision 45/2011 Amending Some Provisions of the Regulation Governing the Salalah Free Zone

Based on Royal Decree 112/2000 Ratifying the Protocol of Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization,

the Law of Free Zones promulgated by Royal Decree 56/2002,

and the Regulation Governing the Salalah Free Zone issued by Decision 15/2011,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The text of article 25 of the aforementioned Regulation Governing the Salalah Free Zone is hereby replaced with the following text:

For the working company to enjoy the incentives and advantages stipulated in the law and the decree establishing the zone, it must exercise its business and activities inside the zone.

Article II

The text of article 32(5) of the aforementioned Regulation Governing the Salalah Free Zone is hereby repealed.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decision, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
