Royal Decree 52/2011 Amending Some Provisions of Royal Decree 59/96 Establishing the Omani Centre for Investment Promotion and Export Development

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 59/96 Establishing the Omani Centre for Investment Promotion and Export Development,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of the aforementioned article 1 of Royal Decree 59/96 is hereby replaced with the following text:

A public authority named the “Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development” is hereby established under the provisions of this decree.

Article II

Dr Salim bin Nasser Al-Ismaili is hereby appointed Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development with the rank of minister.

Article III

The System of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development must be promulgated by a royal decree, and until the issuance of this system, the provisions of the articles of association of the Omani Centre for Investment Promotion and Export Development continue to apply, to the degree that they do not conflict with the provisions of this decree.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
