Royal Decree 104/2020 Amending Some Provisions of the Royal Decrees Establishing the National Centre for Statistics and Information and Promulgating Its System

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

Royal Decree 31/2012 Establishing the National Centre for Statistics and Information,

the System of the National Centre for Statistics and Information promulgated by Royal Decree 40/2014,

the System of the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 75/2020,

and Royal Decree 94/2020 Establishing the Ministry of Economy, Determining Its Competences, and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article I of the aforementioned Royal Decree 31/2012 is hereby replaced with the following text:

A centre named the “National Centre for Statistics and Information” is hereby established subordinate to the Minister of Economy.

Article II

The phrase “Supreme Council for Planning” wherever it occurs in the aforementioned System of the National Centre for Statistics and Information is hereby replaced with the phrase “Minister of Economy.”

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
