Statement of the Supreme Committee
The following decisions of the Supreme Committee shall come into effect on Saturday, May 15, 2021, until further notice:
First: to end implementation of the decision which bans the movement of individuals and vehicles.
Second: to ban the entry of customers inside business activities across the Sultanate between 8 pm until 4 am, while allowing delivery and handing services, except for foodstuff stores that will be excluded from the ban. In this regard, the committee affirms that the decision to limit entry of customers in commercial complexes, shops, restaurants and cafés will continue to apply to no more than 50% of their capacity during the period allowed receiving customers.
Third: to resume implementation the decision allowing 50% of employees back at the workplace in the state’s administrative apparatus and other public legal persons, provided that remote employees shall accomplish their tasks entrusted to them. Eventually, the committee urges all employers to strictly observe health and safety precautions, and calls on all private companies to adopt a remote form of working and reduce the number of attended employees.
