We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,
the Oil and Gas Law promulgated by Royal Decree 8/2011,
and the collection of documents nominating 30% of the participation share that the government has the right to nominate in the petroleum agreement signed on 16 December 2018 for Concession Block 65 to OQ Exploration and Production LLC (formerly Oman Oil Company for Exploration and Production LLC),
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The nomination of 30% of the participation share that the government has the right to nominate in the petroleum agreement signed on 16 December 2018 for Block 65 to OQ Exploration and Production LLC (formerly Oman Oil Company for Exploration and Production LLC) is hereby approved, so that the final shares of the parties to the agreement become as follows:
– 51% for Occidental Oman Block 65 LLC.
– 49% for OQ Exploration and Production LLC.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
