Royal Decree 37/2002 Amending Royal Decree 83/2000 Issuing the Law on Customs Valuation of Imported Goods

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Customs System Law issued by Royal Decree 22/78 and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 112/2000 Ratifying the Protocol of Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article 2 of the mentioned Royal Decree 83/2000 is hereby replaced with the following text:

The Inspector General of Police and Customs shall issue the executive and interpretative decisions and regulations for the provisions of this law.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
