We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Major General Khamis bin Humaid bin Salim Al-Kalbani is hereby promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces.
Article II
Brigadier Ali bin Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Kalbani is hereby promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed Commander of the Royal Army of Oman.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
