Royal Decree 53/95 Delegating in the Signing of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in Those Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification, Particularly in Africa

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in Those Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification, Particularly in Africa,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Minister of Regional Municipalities and Environment is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in Those Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification, Particularly in Africa.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
