Royal Decree 32/90 Declaring Public Benefit Status for the Project to Construct the Royal Camp in the Farq Area in the Wilayat of Nizwa

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 64/78 Issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The project to construct the Royal Camp in the Farq Area in the Wilayat of Nizwa, as specified in the attached note and masterplan, is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article 2

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Note on the Request to Declare Public Benefit Status for the Project to Construct the Royal Camp in the Farq Area

Pursuant to the royal directives of His Majesty the Sultan, may God protect him, regarding the construction of the Royal Camp in the Farq Area, the Diwan of Royal Court has prepared the masterplan for the project.

Whereas the implementation of the project requires the expropriation of certain land and real estate obstructing its path, the issuance of a royal decree is required to declare the public benefit status of the project in preparation for the expropriation in accordance with the provisions of the law.
