Royal Decree 37/78 Determining the Field of Mandate of the Ministry of Transportation and Establishing Two New Ministries

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State 26/75 and its amendments, and in particular article 13 of it, and Annexes A and B of it,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Ministry of Transportation hereby has the following mandates: civil aviation, roads, and ports affairs.

Article 2

The following two ministries are hereby established:

First: The Ministry of Post, Telegraph, and Telephone.

Second: The Ministry of Electricity and Water.

Article 3

The mandates of the Ministry of Transportation are redistributed and the mandates of the two new ministries mentioned in article 2 must be determined by royal decree.

Article 4

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
