We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 28/79 Amending the Formation of the Council of Ministers,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The mandates relating to youth affairs are hereby transferred from the Ministry of Information and Youth Affairs to the Ministry of Education, and the names of both ministries are hereby amended to read as follows:
(a) Ministry of Education and Youth Affairs.
(b) Ministry of Information.
Article 2
The mandates of each of the mentioned ministries and their organisational structures are hereby amended as indicated in accordance with the provisions of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State.
Article 3
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
