Royal Decree 70/2000 Establishing a Directorate General of Private Universities and Colleges

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 42/95 Transferring the Subordination of Some Educational Institutions to the Ministry of Higher Education and Approving the Organisational Structure of the Ministry,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A directorate named the “Directorate General of Private Universities and  Colleges” is hereby established in the Ministry of Higher Education.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
