Royal Decree 20/95 Amending the Executive Regulation of the Civil Service Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 52/84 Issuing the Executive Regulation of the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article 26 of the mentioned Executive Regulation of the Civil Service Law is hereby replaced with the following text:

Article 26

The following are required to occupy the position of director general:

(a) The existence of a directorate general.

(b) That he starts in the fourth grade of the first cycle if he is in a lower grade, provided that he has spent the following periods in the grade he occupies:

– One year if he is in the fifth financial grade of the first circle.

– Three years if he is in the sixth financial grade of the first circle.

– Four years if he is in the first financial grade of the second circle.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Agreement on Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Russian Federation signed in Muscat on 24 November 1994,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Agreement on Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Russian Federation signed in Muscat on 24 November 1994 is hereby approved for signature.

Article II

The mentioned agreement is hereby ratified.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Minister of Transport is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of India for Air Services Between and Beyond Their Respective Territories.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Deputy Prime Minister for Financial and Economic Affairs is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned Annex Amending the Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the Avoidance of Double Taxation on Income and Profits Arising From International Air Transport.

Royal Decree 11/95 Ratifying the Security Agreement Between the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Security Agreement Between the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which the supreme council decided to approve in its fifteenth session held in the State of Bahrain from 19 to 21 December 1994,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Security Agreement Between the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf is hereby ratified.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instruments of ratification with the Secretariat General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in accordance with the provisions of the agreement.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 8/95 Increasing the Capital of the Central Bank of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

the Banking Law 7/74 and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 32/91 Increasing the Capital of the Central Bank of Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The capital of the Central Bank of Oman is hereby increased from one hundred and seventy-five million Rial Omani to two hundred million Rial Omani, as of 31 March 1995.

Article II

The Central Bank of Oman shall transfer the increase stipulated in article I of this decree from the general reserve account of the bank.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.
