We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Our Decree dated 17 November 1973, and in particular article 7 of it, and after perusal of Our Decree 26/75, and in particular the provisions relating to the Ministry of Information and Culture in Annexes A and B of it,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The Directorate of Omani Heritage Collection, referred to as the “Omani Manuscripts Collection Authority”, is hereby transferred from the Ministry of Information and Culture and attached to the Ministry of Royal Diwan Affairs.
Article 2
All texts and provisions contrary to the provisions of this decree are hereby repealed.
Article 3
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
