Royal Decree 4/80 Abolishing a Directorate General and Establishing Two New Directorates General in the Ministry of Education

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 39/77 and the provisions of article 1(1) Establishing the Directorate General of Technical Affairs in the Ministry of Education,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Directorate General of Technical Affairs established by the mentioned Royal Decree 39 of 1977 is hereby abolished.

Article 2

Two directorates general are hereby established in the Ministry of Education, namely:

1. The Directorate General of Educational Development.

2. The Directorate General of Education.

Article 3

The Minister of Education shall undertake the necessary measures to implement the provisions of this decree.

Article 4

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
