We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and the Omani Banking Law 7/74 and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The authorised capital of the Central Bank of Oman is hereby increased from ten million Rial Omani to twenty million Rial Omani, provided that the paid-up capital is set at twenty million Rial Omani.
Article 2
The government shall pay half of the amount of the increase, amounting to five million Rial Omani, from the General Budget of the State and the remainder must be paid from the profits of the bank.
Article 3
All relevant entities shall implement this decree, each within its mandates.
Article 4
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
