Royal Decree 39/80 Authorising the Minister of Transport to Sign the Agreement on Regional Marine Meteorological Program for Gulf States

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Agreement on Regional Marine Meteorological Program (Jeddah Agreement) initialled in Jeddah on 3 Rabi Al-Awwal 1400 corresponding to 21 January 1980 Between the Government of the Sultanate and the Governments of the State of Bahrain, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Iraq, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the State of the United Arab Emirates,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Minister of Transport is hereby authorised to sign on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate the mentioned Agreement on Regional Marine Meteorological Program (Jeddah Agreement) is hereby ratified.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
