Royal Decree 1/81 Ratifying the Increase of the Share of the Sultanate in the Special Drawing Rights of the International Monetary Fund

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

the Omani Banking Law 7/74,

Royal Decree 31/71 Authorising the Application for the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Membership of Certain International Organisations,

Royal Decree 34/77 Regarding the Ratification of the Approval of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman to the Amendments Made to the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund,

Royal Decree 50/78 Ratifying the Increase of the Share of the Sultanate in the Special Drawing Rights of the International Monetary Fund,

and the decision of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund 34-2 issued on 11 December 1978,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The increase of the share of the Sultanate of Oman in the special drawing rights of the International Monetary Fund from twenty million to thirty million units of special drawing rights is hereby ratified. The Sultanate of Oman shall bear all the obligations arising from such increase in accordance with the laws in force in it.

Article 2

The competent entities shall implement this decree, and it must be published in the Official Gazette and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
