We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs are hereby merged into one ministry named the “Ministry of Justice, Endowments, and Islamic Affairs”, and Sayyid Hilal bin Hamad Al-Samar is hereby appointed its minister.
Article 2
Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Khalili is hereby appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Endowments, and Islamic Affairs.
Article 3
The mandates of the mentioned ministry are hereby determined and its organisational structure is hereby adopted in accordance with this decree.
Article 4
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
