We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The following two new directorates general are hereby established in the Ministry of Education, subject to the provisions of articles 16, 17, and 20 of the mentioned Royal Decree 26/75.
1. The Directorate General of Education for the Southern Region.
2. The Directorate General of Scholarships and Foreign Relations.
Article 2
The organisational structure of the Ministry of Education is hereby amended in accordance with the foregoing, and the Minister of Education shall undertake the necessary measures to implement this decree.
Article 3
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
