Royal Decree 54/82 Approving the Assignment Issued by Nippon Oil Limited and Techoco Oil Limited of All Their Rights and Obligations in the Petroleum Agreement Signed on 26 October 1981

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 42/74 Issuing the Oil and Minerals Law,

Royal Decree 102/81 Approving the Petroleum Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and Nippon Oil Company Limited and Teikoku Oil Limited Signed on 26 October 1981,

and the assignment issued by Nippon Oil Limited and Teikoku Oil Limited of all their rights and obligations in the mentioned petroleum agreement to:

JAPAN PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT CO. (OMAN) LTD. (JPD)

and the acceptance by JAPAN PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT CO. (OMAN) LTD. (JPD) of this assignment,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The assignment issued by Nippon Oil Limited and Teikoku Oil Limited of all their rights and obligations in the mentioned petroleum agreement signed on 26 October 1981 is hereby approved, to

JAPAN PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT CO. (OMAN) LTD. (JPD)

The provisions of article 21 of the agreement apply to this assignment.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
