Royal Decree 96/82 Adopting the Name Diwan of Royal Court Affairs

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 54/74 Establishing the Diwan of Protocol of His Majesty the Sultan,

and Royal Decree 45/80 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Diwan of Protocol and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The name “Diwan of Royal Court Affairs” is hereby adopted for the Diwan of Protocol established by the mentioned Royal Decree 54/74, and all previous names to the contrary are hereby repealed.

Article 2

The competent entities shall make the necessary drafting amendments to the organisational structure of the diwan in accordance with the text of the previous article.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
