Royal Decree 30/83 Approving the Assignment Issued by Schachtbau Company of 50% of Its Share and All Its Rights and Obligations in the Petroleum Agreement to Rautenkranz Company

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 42/74 Issuing the Oil and Minerals Law,

the petroleum agreement signed by Us with the Sun Petroleum Group on 4 February 1973 and amended on 15 February 1974,

Royal Decree 61/78 Approving the Assignment Agreement Concluded Between the Sun Petroleum Group and Amoco Oman Company,

Royal Decree 8/81 Approving the Assignments Made Between Some Concessionaire Companies,

and the assignment agreement concluded between Amoco Company, Wintershall Company, Schachtbau Company, and Rautenkranz Company on 5 April 1982, which was approved by the Minister of Oil and Minerals in his letter dated 19 January 1983,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The assignment by Schachtbau Company of 50% of its share and all its rights and obligations in the mentioned petroleum agreement to Rautenkranz Company is hereby approved, so that the final shares of the companies comprising the group become as follows:

The provisions of article 23 of the original agreement dated 4 February 1973 apply to this assignment.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
