We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 52/81 Establishing Oman Aviation Services Company and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
Article 5 of the mentioned Royal Decree 52/81 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Article 5
The board of directors of the company must be composed of ten members as follows:
First: Five members representing the government, namely the Minister of Transport as chairman and four members appointed by the Minister of Transport by a decision by him, provided that they include a deputy chairman and a representative for financial affairs.
Second: Five members representing the private sector, selected in accordance with the provisions of the articles of association of the company.
Decisions of the board are issued by an absolute majority of the votes of those in attendance. In the case of a tie vote, the side that includes the chairman prevails.
Article 2
The articles of association of the company must be amended in accordance with the provisions of this decree.
Article 3
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
