Royal Decree 20/85 Declaring Public Benefit Status for the Palace Guest House Extension Project in the Kalbuh Area

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 64/78 Issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Palace Guest House Extension Project in the Kalbuh Area specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article 2

The competent entities may seize land necessary for the mentioned project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Note on the Request for Expropriation for the Palace Guest House Extension Project in the Kalbuh Area

The Guest House Extension Project in the Kalbuh area is considered a public benefit project, which requires the seizure of the land that obstructs the path of the project and the establishments on it in accordance with the masterplan approved by the Ministry of Housing, and requires the issuance of an exalted royal decree declaring the public benefit status of this project in accordance with the law.
