Royal Decree 76/86 Making Appointments in the Diplomatic Corps

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Ambassador Ahmed bin Omar bin Taher Baomar—Our ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Niger, the Gabonese Republic, and the Republic of Burkina Faso.

Article 2

Ambassador Marhoon bin Ahmed bin Salim Al-Marhoon—Our ambassador to the Empire of Japan—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of New Zealand and Australia.

Article 3

Ambassador Salim bin Mohammed bin Salim Al-Khusaibi—Our ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Brunei Darussalam.

Article 4

Ambassador Farid bin Mubarak bin Ali Al-Hinai—Our ambassador to the People’s Republic of China—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Thailand.

Article 5

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
