Royal Decree 16/87 Appointing a Non-resident Ambassador to Each of the Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Chile

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Ambassador Ahmed bin Omar bin Taher Baomar—Our ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Article 2

Ambassador Ali bin Salim bin Bader Al-Hinai—Our ambassador to the United States of America—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Chile.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
